Bring your MyHeritage research to GeneaProof
Keep an unchanged backup, use the safest supported path and review the result before continuing your research.
MyHeritage GEDCOM can be imported directly into GeneaProof.
Export the tree as a GEDCOM from Manage trees. Photo links can be included, but the photographs themselves are not stored inside the text file, so keep a separate media copy before importing.
Open the official transfer guidanceImport historical material
For a named genealogy application, export GEDCOM 7 in UTF-8 when available; otherwise use GEDCOM 5.5.1 with Unicode or UTF-8. Include the intended people, sources, citations, notes and stable identifiers.
One protected archive for every family memory
Keep the exported file and its complete media folder together. Do not rename or move linked media until import and count comparison are complete.
Sources for every claim
Keep conflicting dates and conclusions without overwriting the original material. Every claim can carry its own evidence.
Research quality control
Duplicates, uncertain relationships, missing sources and contradictions are collected in a clear review queue.
No lock-in
Import and export open genealogy formats while preserving stable identities and original records.
Direct import either writes everything or rolls everything back in one transaction.
The dry run wrote and deleted nothing. Apply will recheck the exact fingerprint inside the same atomic database transaction.
Privacy first
Review living people, private facts, notes and media before export. Never upload this file to an unreviewed online converter or share its password with a conversion service.
